There are many Camping destination or campsites all over the US. Moreover, there are plenty of them that are relatively unknown to many. Of course, there are the National Parks, but as Alan English pointed out, there can be substantial waits. Therefore, there are National Parks for a reason. Now, these reasons a well be sorted out. And we highly encourage everyone to visit and learn about them.
Names And Descriptions Of The Camping Destination:
Sand Flats Recreation Area, Moab, UT:
The Utah BLM maintains the campsites at the Sand Flats Rec Area and costs about $10/night/car. The least crowded (and most beautiful) sites are the furthest from the entrance, so be patient and keep driving until you find the perfect one! You can stay in cluster ‘D.’ Wake up with the sunrise bleeding pinks and reds across 100’s of a mile of petrified dunes .and enjoy the stone monoliths up to the 12,500′ La Sal mountain range.
Selden Neck State Park, Lyme, CT:
That’s right; this is one of the famous places on earth to camp. Located in Selden Island and accessible only by boat, this park does not get very many visitors. You’ll sleep on the peaceful Connecticut River. It has been unmarred by industry and trade due to the large, shallow sandbar at its mouth. TheNature Conservancy protects it on their list of the 40 Last Great Places in the Western Hemisphere. The lower Connecticut River is home to many species of bird, fish, crab, and other wildlife. There are endless tributaries and passageways to canoe or kayak throughout the tidal saltwater marshes.
Lafayette Campground, Franconia, NH:
Right on the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountains of NH, this is a beautiful camping destination (not backcountry) for accessing the White Mountains. The Presidential Range is nearby, and the campground is at the foot of a giant rock dome. The sites are directly across the street from the Falling Waters Trail. The trail follows waterfalls up Little Haystack Mountain (4,800′) and across Mt. Lincoln (5,089′) and Mt. Lafayette (5,260′).
One Of The Most Beautiful Camping Destination
Kachess Campground, Easton, WA: You can find this camping destination entirely on accident, but it will remain to be one of your favourites of all time.
A Tourist Said that these: “Two friends and I were on a two-month road trip through the Pac NW and British Columbia. We happened upon this campground one night by following camping signs on a hunch. Its 5-10 miles off of Rt 90, located right on Little Kachess Lake. It was a weekend .there were only maybe five other groups in the whole place. The beach was sandy; the water was refreshing. We were afforded stunning views of the Cascades while floating in the water. And we, however, were protected at camp by 100′ + trees.”
Try getting off the beaten path; find the places where nobody else goes. Let your adventure take you where you’ve never been before. And always remember that all nature is majestic.
